Our Last Day in Weed CA.

One of the houses Josh was raised in.

Today will definitely be one of the hardest days, it’s the day we leave Weed CA. Four days definitely is not enough. Today we sat at grandpa’s and let the kids play with him. Sad because we all knew what was coming. It was a wonderful adventure. But unfortunelty we had to head back to WA, right around about 2 to 3 PM we all said our goodbyes and we all headed home. Needless to say it was a tear filled goodbye. We stopped by the bowling alley in weed and got some space burgers and began our drive home. The drive went well and we made it through all the passes safely, we got home at 2 AM n crashed. It was a great adventure, definitely going to have to be a yearly one.

Our Next Big Adventure in Weed, CA.

The Photos of Ellie's we promised. The 2nd day at this coffee shop.

This will be going on Ellie's Bedroom door when she's older or in her room.

Like the prior day before came very early. Ellie still didn’t sleep well and again nursed most of the night. That of course didn’t stop our adventures. That morning we saw Grandpa walking to the gas station and decided to pick him up. He stopped by his house and let Grandma know he was going out for a bit.

The bridge down the road from the falls, one of my favorite photos.

Off we went again. This time to a beautiful little water fall and stream where Josh use to swing when he was a kid. It was neat seeing such a beautiful sight. I was very nervous by how narrow the ledge was, but was okay with it knowing that the memory would be worth it and knowing neither Josh nor Grandpa would allow the boys to get hurt.

After we saw the falls we went for a short hike at a local nation park. It was closed, but that didn’t stop us. Over the gate we went and off on our little hike, though the hike wasn’t so little. Our Elijah excitedly led the way. We went across a neat shaky bridge that Elijah was absolutely terrified of and under a cute bridge that was under a set of rail road tracks. We turned around and Elijah seemed to still have plenty of energy and we went another direction. We were trying to get down close by the creek that was flowing through the area. After a very long hike and a very tired Elijah we decided to stop and try again some other time.

We headed back, by the time we got to the van I had seen something I had not seen in our whole time of having Elijah. He was actually worn out. I definitely think I’m liking the hiking thing. We may have to try it more often in WA. Of course on our drive to go hang out with Josh’s brother “Jeremy” and his wife and kids Elijah took a short cat nap charging his batteries up to be able to play with his cousin “JJ” and his Grandpa.

We watched the kids play as the guys got caught up and talked for a while, then it was off to round table for much needed lunch. It was a nice lunch of talking and visiting letting the kids play. After the lunch we all headed to Grandpa’s house to let all the kids play. We played for a long time til the kids got real sleepy. After that we headed off in search of dinner. We ended up going to a cute little dinner called Blackbear dinner for supper. Then back to the hotel for some much needed rest.
